Continuing our pumpkin carving tradition....

I thought this picture from Halloween last year (2008) was so cute. Addie has changed so much since this picture was taken.

Last week Grandpa Dave and Mamaw came over to carve pumpkins for Halloween, just like we do every year. Addie enjoyed coloring on her pumpkin, and I helped her carve out a face after she was done with her masterpiece!

Everyone takes pumpkin carving seriously in our house. Some (mom) even come prepared with stencils and printouts from the internet on how to carve a winning pumpkin. Unfortunately, our pumpkins were really hard this year, making it a big challenge to even cut out a triangle for the eyes. No fun! We will know better next year about which pumpkins to pick and which ones to leave behind. Addie's pumpkin was the only one that was easy to carve!

Addie sure was proud of her pumpkins that night! She seemed to be really excited about Halloween and trick-or-treating at this point. I'll post about our night on Halloween in the next day or so...

I hope everyone had a wonderful night with their families. Happy Halloween 2009!
