And we're off to pick some pumpkins...

Saturday was sunny and warm here in our town and we headed to the pumpkin patch with Grandpa Dave and Mamaw. Addie was a little tired and cranky after a slumber party in "mamaw's bed" the night before, so her blanket and paci were a must for this little adventure!
Here she is picking out her pumpkin... and yes, that is her favorite blanket laying in the dirt. The very same blanket she HATES to let me wash!

Little Hayes pretty much slept the whole time. He is such a good baby!

I couldn't even get him to wake up to pose for a picture with the pumpkins....

We left with 4 pumpkins and a painted plow wheel they were selling as a halloween decoration. Mom and I are such suckers for those kinds of unique decorations! Tonight we had fun carving pumpkins and eating hot fudge sundaes! I'll share those pictures in my next post!

Who wants a "Hayes Update"?

My good friend and sorority sister, Stacie, helped to design Hayes' birth announcement and made the whole process really easy for me. I think they turned out pretty cute!

He is such a trooper and doesn't mind a bit when I dress him up and make him look festive and goofy!

Tim still has the magic touch....five minutes snuggled up on Daddy's chest and he is out like a light!

Here he is all cleaned up right after a bath. He smells the best afterwards, but not for long! Little boys definitely don't smell as good as baby girls...he can be a little stinker!

He has just started to really smile and loves it when I sing to him...imagine that! At our last doctor's appointment, he weighed in at a whopping 10 1/2 lbs, which didn't surprise me because he still eats almost every 2 hours during the day. When will this slow down? He is sleeing 3-4 hours at a time most nights. I appreciate those "long" stretches and am quick to jump in bed myself shortly after he goes down each night! When people visit, they say he is growing and getting big...but to me, he is still tiny and fragile. I can't believe he will be as big as Addie in a year or two. Where does the time go?
We visited the pumpkin patch this weekend and I brought along the camera. I'll post more about that in the next day or so. Plus, Papaw Rick and Grandma Julie are coming this week to visit and meet Hayes, so we will have lots of pictures and stories to share after the weekend!

Addie goes to school!

Today was Addie's first day in a program called "Mom's Morning Out" at a local church here in our town. She will go there once a week from 9:00 until 1:00 just to get her ready for preschool next year and get her around other children a little more often. This will also give me a chance to spend some quality time with Hayes! I was a little worried about how she would react to me leaving her there this morning, but once again she proved me wrong and was a real trooper!

Addie got all dressed up this morning and even let me put her hair up in pig tails for the big day! We have been talking about her teacher, Miss Lisa, for a couple of weeks, and she was very anxious to see her again!

This was Addie in her classroom right before I left. She held on tight to that paci, but eventually turned around and blew me a kiss goodbye! Miss Lisa said that it only took about 1o minutes for her to walk over and hand her the paci to "put away"! I am so proud of my little girl today!

Of course, I couldn't forget about little Hayes! He is doing great these days...well, atleast during the daytime! He hasn't quite figured out that when it is dark outside he needs to be sleeping, so Tim and I are pretty tired people these days. We keep going however, as it never seems to slow down!

Cupcake Time!

We won't let a little egg allergy get in our way around this household! Tim and I found this adorable little apron at our local craft fair, and I decided it was a perfect treat to add to our night of baking since I recently found an allergen free cake mix at our grocery!

Addie was very excited about making "birfday cakes"!

Funny thing is...she never even mentioned the cupcakes after she ate this one! I guess they didn't impress her all that much. She would rather have fruit snacks or icecream any day! I put the rest of the cakes in a freezer bag and plan on pulling them out when we have a party to attend. That way she will be able to enjoy cake along with the rest of us!

Hayes was snoozing in the swing while we baked and enjoyed our little snack!

Nothing new to share....

just a few pictures of my babies....

Hayes conks out after a bath....and Addie is a camera hog! She loves to have her picture taken!

Remember Grayson and Ainsley? These are the two little ones that belong to my two college roommates...Haven't they grown?

I still find it crazy to believe that we all three have little ones.....I had some fun times with their mommies that is for sure!
Well, I woke up to feed Hayes and it looks like he decided not to eat! Better head back to bed before he changes his mind....

More visitors..

Last week, my uncle and new aunt came to visit the family and meet Baby Hayes for a night. We chatted over big bowls of hot fudge and ice cream! Addie showed off a little for them, and Tim and I became jealous as they talked about being retired and getting to do whatever they wanted on a daily basis! They were in town for a retirement luncheon and decided to stop in for a nice visit! This was in the morning...after Hayes had peed on Uncle Ed! He didn't seem to mind...
And he even let Hayes cuddle up real close....Isn't this a great picture?

It was very nice to have my uncle and his new bride over for the night. Tim and I enjoyed visiting with them and wish it could have been longer. Like I always say, I would love it if we all lived closer to one another!

My little helper...Addie

Addie loves to help me these days. The other day she helped me give Hayes his first "real" bath in the tub. I had been sponge bathing him until his belly button was ready to get wet. She really was such a big help, mainly because she helped hold his little hands while I washed him. He feels safer when he has a nice, firm grip on one of your fingers! (Hopefully, he won't be too upset with me when he gets older for posting these pictures on the internet!)

Yes, his hair still stands straight up after a bath! He is such a sweet little boy, and boy does he like to cuddle! I'm very tired these days, but having such a good time hanging out with two adorable little people. Man, I'm a lucky girl!
