A tough weekend ahead.....

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of her serious face. I didn't have any new photos to share, so I thought I would just pick one that I really like and havent posted yet. Tim didnt get home with Addie from Ga Ga's house until too late for any pictures to be taken, then she was rushed through a bath and off to bed! Poor little girl was up in the middle of the night for a solid 45 minutes crying and tugging at those ears. It truly broke our hearts, and needlesstosay, we are really tired this morning! I guess I am going to continue with the antiobiotics (we are on day 6 of a 10 day cycle) and if she has two more nights like that, I will take her in first thing monday morning. I don't want the little monkey to be hurting on her birthday!

Tim got a call at 3:00 yesterday afternoon from his dispatcher telling him he was being forced to work the following day. Can you believe that? Nice of them to give the poor guy some notice. When he told him he has a baby and his wife was in class, they told him to find a babysitter! So....Addie is off to my mom's this morning, which Im sure she doesnt mind too much, but Tim was not a happy camper this morning. Ive said it before, and I stand by it, treat your people better and they will work harder for you! I learned that with my students.......noone wants to perform well for someone they don't think is treating them fairly! Poor Tim.....he is back in that black van, with no AC for the 6th day in a row, and not that he doesnt want to work, but he would have atleast liked the courtesy of a little notice! I'm off to class.....YUCK! For those of you that pray regularly, please ask God to help her to feel better!

Play...play....and more play!

I had my mom snap this picture for Grandma Julie since she was the one who sent this cute little skirt and shirt up from Florida! I told her I would take a picture of her the next time I had her in it! There ya go Grandma Julie, isn't she a ham?

That is all Addie likes to do.....the girl can play with some toys now! She spends hours a day sitting in the floor playing with toys, and wherever she goes, whether it is Jazzercise with Mommy, Mamaw's house, Ga Ga and Pop Pop's, or even the car, there are toys.....loads of toys. Right now she is into the fake food. I bought her this 5 dollar fake food basket at Walmart the day we found out she still has achey ears, and she couldn't have been more happy with that chicken leg and cucumber. The icecream cones are her favorites too! You should have seen her in the cart at walmart waving that chicken leg at people as they walked by. I do have a little show-off on my hands. Today Addie and I will go to a playgroup after her nap and visit with some little girls that are right at her age, Marley and Maddie. Then, Addie will visit with Pop Pop and Ga Ga while I go to class and Daddy makes his way home from work, and then begins......A Daddy and Addie weekend! I will make sure Tim gets some pictures for me!

Happy Aniversary Mommy and Daddy.....

Tim, Addie, and I went to lunch yesterday at a new restaurant about 20 min. from our house. Tim had worked on thier phone lines there once and thought the menu looked tasty! He was so right! We loved it and Addie was so good the whole time!

We decided to treat her to a new toy afterwards and went to the TOYS R US store after we got finished with lunch. She got two little bottles for her baby dolls, one filled with milk and one filled with OJ. I spent some time yesterday teaching her how to feed her baby doll, and she is finally getting it. She get's bored, however, and eventually starts beating the doll in the face with the bottle! Yikes.....guess I won't ever let her try to feed a baby brother or sister in the future! Here she tries to feed Mommy while sucking down her own bottle.......and yes, I am still holding the stupid thing for her......she refuses to do it herself!
I thought this picture was too cute not to share......She just got out of the bath and is all fresh and clean and in her Daddy's arms.....her favorite place to be!
Today we are going to try and get out to a park for lunch and then make a trip to the bakery to order her birthday cake! Still hanging on to those nasty ear infections, but she is being such a trooper through it all......we'll see....7 more days of medicine!

3 years and still going strong!!!!

July 9th, 2005 at 5:30 pm, I walked down that aisle surrounded by my favorite people in the world towards the best man I know. I am truly blessed. I cannot imagine my life without him, and I am so proud to be his wife.

Tim and I spent the day with Addie and I haven't had a second to get on the computer until now. He took the day off and spent it with us, and we enjoyed every minute of it. After I download some pictures, I will share some of our day with you.......

Also, Happy Birthday to Baby Ainsley who was only a few hours old this time last year!

Still recovering.....

Addie did sleep much better last night, but we can tell she is still not feeling herself. We played inside yesterday and have enjoyed our morning with Daddy today since he goes in late this week. She was so happy to see him when I went in to get her from her crib this morning. It is so amazing...the two of them. For those of you who have seen them together, you know what I mean. Tim is truly one in a million and Addie's face lights up each time he walks into the room. I knew from the moment I met him, he would make the most wonderful father, and I have never been so right in all my life. She is a Daddy's girl for sure!

Mean ole' ears......

Poor Addie girl had a rough night last night. She just couldnt seem to rest and Tim and I were both up with her several different times throughout the night, which is not normal since she has become such a good nighttime sleeper finally. We knew something was bothering her. It just so happened that this morning we had a scheduled doctor's appt. to check on her ears and see if the last dose of antibiotics had taken care of her recent ear infections. Bless her little heart, she still has a nasty infection in both of those little ears! We just can't seem to get rid of it......I was rather surprised that they were still infected, despite her lack of sleep last night, because she really has been in a wonderful mood lately. It wasn't until last night that she got fussy and seemed to tug on that ear a little more noticeably. She is on a stronger antibiotic now and they told me to wait and see at the end of the 10 days and if it is still there, we may have to see a specialist. My heart sank for the little girl! How sad! Say a prayer that she will get better soon and that will not be something we have to do. For now, I guess we will spend a few quiet days at home and try and get her medicine to do some work!
By the way, she weighs a whopping 25 lbs!!!!

First Family Bike Ride!

In between the bad thunderstorms and clouds of smoke, we finally were able to take Addie out for her first bike ride yesterday. Tim and I found a bike with the baby seat in an online classifed site I regularly check out. We got an awesome deal and the seat is one of the safest out there! I finally found a helmet that would fit her little noggin and we were off!

You can see that she still isn't too sure about the whole thing. She refused to let me take Winnie away and she would get really nervous if she couldn't see her Daddy beside us.....but she sure makes a cute little biker! We are hoping she really starts to like it because Tim and I really enjoy riding bikes together and did that quite a bit before she came along!
Today, we might visit Mamaw and play over at her house for a while so that Daddy can do some things around the house that he has been wanting to get done. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend with their families!
