Please God...Can you spare some more patience?

On days like today....when Hayes was screaming "ma ma" at 6:00 AM and I decided to skip my shower in hopes of a little more shut eye...when Addie throws the mother of all tantrums in the middle of Harris Teeter and I get the "I feel sorry for her" look from a mother with a well-behaved teenage boy in line behind us...when I peek out my open windows to see if anyone heard me yell at the top of my lungs at my one year old for throwing corn on the floor for the bazillionth time...on days like today, I pray to God..."Please let me have more patience!"

Wednesday = Laundry Day at the Hewitt House

I am a creature of habit. I like schedules and routines and "to-do" lists that I can check off. Every Wednesday I start laundry, hoping that by Saturday, my fun-day with Tim and the kids, I can be completely done. Addie and Hayes like to help me do laundry. This is why I need three full days to finish. Aren't they precious?

My Babies....

They will always be my babies, no matter how big they get. That is for sure.

They are definitely not the most well-behaved children in the world. They don't play well with others always. They happen to be the hardest persons on the planet to feed, and not just because of their horrific food allergies. They wear me out on a daily basis with their whining and their wants and their unbelievable needs that never end. Addie can go from happy to down right "ticked-off" in less than 3 seconds. I have to change clothes every day after I give Hayes a bath because he manages to dump cups and cups of water on me when I turn my back. They are a hand full. I know. I do it every day, day in and day out.

As challenging as it is, having two little ones with impossible food allergies and the most stubborn personalities you will ever come across, I can't help but wish God's plan for us included just one more.....
