Notice the duct-taped socks! I think they make him that much cuter!

Growin' Boy
He is growing so fast. Unlike his sister, he is not plump and "soft", but rather solid and lean. He's tall for his age and skinny, but not underweight. I see a future athlete on my hands. Do you think I can convince him that golf is exciting?
I was telling Tim's mom the other day how I believe Hayes is going to be a big, solid boy. I see her standing beside Tommy and Tim and looking up as she talks to them, and I can see myself doing that with Hayes one day. It's hard for me to imagine this as I cuddle with him all day, his little head resting on my shoulder and arm wrapped around my neck. I pray he is always so loving. I'm just having the time of my life these days...

How tall can you go?
Addie has gotten really good at stacking her blocks. She loves to see how tall she can make them. Then when they fall, she screams and giggles like crazy.
Doesn't she look so proud of herself?

Sally the Dog
No, not Sally my beloved dog who recently went to heaven, but Addie's new dog friend she named "Sally" too. Do you see her? She's a great pet, and sad but true, probably the only pet we will have here for quite a while.

How about a walk?
Addie just found her new favorite thing to do...pull Hayes in the wagon! I love it! We get to go on a nice leisurely walk, and I don't even have to do anything!
Isn't Hayes hilarious? I put his little Bumbo seat in the wagon to help him sit up. He is still not doing that by himself and is just as content to lay on his back forever. Although, he is starting to roll over onto his belly alot now.
I'm sure people in the neighborhood get a good laugh when they see my clan rolling down the street! (You should have seen me that day...still in my sweats...hair in a ponytail...and HUGE bags under my eyes...It was a loooong night!)
The walk helped to keep me awake and made my munchkins feel happy and refreshed. I love the warm weather and am looking forward to the fun we have planned this summer.
By the way, Addie made Hayes giggle out loud today at her. We were sitting on the playroom floor. Hayes was propped up in my lap, and Addie was playing with him with some colored rings we have. She laughed when he would drop the rings and he just thought that was the funniest thing. It was really the first time I heard him giggle like that- too cute!

Sweet Potatoes?
He isn't sure if he likes them or not. He does enjoy playing with his toys as I feed him. He makes some of the funniest faces too. I wonder what he will think of popsicles and fruit snacks? Will he love them as much as his big sister? Will he immediately recognize a McDonald's from a mile away and sneak sips of my coke when I'm not looking?
Will he be independent and strong-willed like her, or will he be laid-back and low key like his Daddy? Will he be a Mama's boy and hug me in public in front of his football buddies, or will he ask that I stop wearing his school colors and screaming the letters in his name each time he scores a touchdown?
I wonder what kind of man he will be. Will he be as gentleman-like as his Daddy? Will he open car doors and always say "yes mam" to his momma's friends and his teachers in school?

I pray that he is strong, and confident, respectful, and ambitious...but most of all, I hope that he is happy and joyful!

Addie
You might say she is a little spoiled or even a little sassy.
There are days when I think she is going to succeed in driving me crazy, and I wonder where it is I have gone wrong in raising her to be a sweet, polite little lady.

Waiting on Spring!
We are starting to really get antsy for spring and warmer weather around here! I can envision picnics and daily wagon rides in our near future, and I am really excited about it!
Hayes would rather sleep...on me...like he does everyday between 2:00 and 4:00. Yes, I know....I am spoiling him. He is however, my last little baby, and if he wants to take his daily nap on my shoulder, I'm going to let him. The day will come much too soon when he won't want to be seen with me in public.

So, I let him snooze. Somedays, I sneak a snooze in there too! I love this little boy with all of my heart!
Today I took Addie to a little pottery place where she got to paint a little plate and put her handprint on it with Easter colors. The place then fires it, and you pick it up a week later. She had a blast painting, and even had some of her little friends there too! The owners have a dog named Amber that roams around the shop while they work. Addie is always sort of nervous around this sweet dog since she is not quite used to animals anymore. Anyways, near the end of our painting session the dog jumped down from her chair and came over to where we were sitting. Hayes was chillin' in his carseat on the floor beside us. When Addie saw Amber start to wander over towards Hayes, she ran over to him and said..."no...no...don't eat my brother!" It was quite adorable! I'm so glad she loves him so much already!

Swing time! Finally!!!
Hayes (yesterday- 6months old)
Pretty soon I won't have a little baby to push in this swing. Its hard to believe that part of my life is almost over. I'm looking forward to all that lies ahead with my little ones. I can't think of anything else I would rather do with my life.

Tim and his little man...
I do believe...no, I am pretty certain...if you look closely and imagine some facial hair on his tiny little face...
